Meet sweet senior Samson. He came to us from the animal shelter. He and his mom had been abandoned by their family who had neglected their health. Both were overweight and both needed luxating patella surgeries on both their back knees.
Samson is shy, so he gets overlooked a lot. He has been at our adoption center since early this year. We had to help him lose weight before he could have his first surgery, which he just had.
Sadly, we have several dogs needing orthopedic surgeries this year. And the veterinary bills for them are high. And recovery takes months.
